After Thanksgiving Day and the wonderful follow-up days of leftovers, your body may start to feel a bit bloated and sluggish. All those richly seasoned foods, high in carbs and sugars, not to mention those holiday drinks. Unfortunately, if you may find it easy to just keep eating like its Thanksgiving straight through the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays – – BAD IDEA!
It’s time to detox. What does that mean? I know it sounds scary and that last piece of sweet potato pie looks just too good pass up. We also find it more difficult to exercise during the holidays. But don’t give up on your healthy lifestyle changes. Now is the time to dig in and push harded. Trust me you will thank yourself in January when everyone else is struggling to get back on track – – you will already have your plan in place and have less work to do. Also, you won’t feel extra tired at the end of the year as so many of us do.
So – – back to the question, what is this detox thing all about? No, I am not talking about drastically removing all food from your diet and drinking nothing but water and liquids. But, I am talking about eliminating specific things from your diet for 10 days to cleanse your system of those things that cause us to feel bad although they taste so good going in. Visit the Nicole Hicks Fitness blog – SimplyFit to get find out more about the 10 Day Cleanse.
